COMPOSITION: Black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens) (46%), calcium carbonate (8.38%), tapioca (8%), algae meal (Ascophyllum nodosum) (7.5%), glycerine (7%), chicory root powder (5%), vegetable oil (4.5%), Eucalyptus globulus powder (2.5%), Mentha piperita powder (2.38%), pumpkin seed flour (2%), dextrose (1.5%), maltodextrin (0.2%), Lactobacillus helveticus ha-122 (0.05%).

ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS: Crude protein 27.97%, crude fat 11.92%, crude ash 11.06%, crude fibre 3.95%, sodium 0.27%.

ADDITIVES: Technological additives: Preservatives: Potassium sorbate 3000 mg/kg. Sensory additives: Aromatic compounds: Punica granatum (2b) 25000 mg/kg.

DOSAGE: 1 chew per 10 kg body weight/day.

Strong teeth & healthy gums
Calcium carbonate can help strengthen the tooth enamel while also assisting in the physical removal of plaque. This mineral provides a gentle brushing action that cleans the teeth and massages the gums, making it harder for unwanted bacteria to adhere and colonise.

Reduces plaque & tartar
Plaque is a soft, sticky biofilm of bacteria that forms on the teeth and can lead to bad breath, gum inflammation and tartar. Ascophyllum nodosum, a brown seaweed, can help reduce plaque and tartar formation and support a healthy saliva environment. In studies on companion animals the seaweed has been shown to reduce the accumulation of both plaque and tartar (Gawor & Jank, Polish Journal of Veterinary Sciences, 2023). Pomegranate (Punica granatum) contributes antioxidants that can support the gums and counteract bacteria associated with gum problems.

Balances the oral microbiome
The mouth is home to a population of bacteria, the oral microbiome, whose composition affects oral health. Chicory root provides a natural, plant-based source of FOS (fructooligosaccharides) that acts as a prebiotic and can promote the growth of beneficial bacteria. The probiotic Lactobacillus helveticus contributes bioactive peptides and enzymes that can support a balanced oral microbiome. Together, these pre- and probiotic ingredients support the mouth's microbiota and immune defences.

Fresh breath
Natural extracts of peppermint (Mentha piperita) and eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) help freshen the breath and have antibacterial properties in the oral cavity. Peppermint contains menthol with antibacterial and antiseptic properties, and eucalyptus can help counteract bacteria and soothe irritation in the gums.

Protein from insects
The foundation is, as in all our products, nutrient-rich protein from black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens) - an easily digestible protein source full of essential amino acids that can suit dogs with food sensitivities. In a peer-reviewed study the insect protein was also linked to reduced levels of the sulphur-producing bacteria in the mouth associated with bad breath and dental and gum problems (Neto et al., Journal of Insects as Food and Feed, 2023).
